Just going for a walk in Old Town, Montreal!
Ah, the lone unicycle.
Montreal, like many European cities (and now Boston, yay!) has public transport bikes that you can rent for 24 hour time increments. They really are the veins of the city, carrying people where they need to go. Is it just me, or do bikes seem to be a theme of this city?
And here is something you may see while riding these snazzy bikes...
Montreal has a massive farmer's market, selling everything from fruit to soap to more fruit.
This graffiti wall along the riverfront very well may be my favorite thing that I saw in Montreal. It's so striking and colorful, and the way it reflected in the water was really beautiful.
I have an affinity with people playing instruments in parks.
AND THE DOLL RETURNS!
I have a newfound passion for subway/metro/T riding. They carry the life of the city from place to place. They're a subjacent parallel universe, mysterious, efficient, and the ultimate place to see the widest range of people and emotions. It's such a part of ordinary, everyday life, that I don't think I even bothered to notice it at first. It is astonishing to me that we're confined in a metal tube underground with hundreds of people and I never bothered to really look around until recently.
Look up!
Rachel, these are FANTASTIC!!! There are SO many I love. Just to name a few the color blocks, the upwards staircase at the end and EVERYTHING in between. These are great. :)
