Artist's Statement Draft:

I began my concentration of metal objects in structure in order to bring out visual interest in everyday, mundane objects. I wanted to convey through photography the beauty found within an ordinary day. Metal objects and structures struck me because of the multitude of textures and colors, and the variety of different objects and scenarios there are to be photographed. I begin by brainstorming metal objects that can create an interesting composition or texture when lit in a great way or photographed from an ideal angle. I then worked to create a mood with lighting. I was keen on portraying a myriad of different attitudes and ideas through my artwork. It is my goal to represent everyday life in a beautiful and thoughtful manner.
